When she's not busy working to create wonderfully framed pieces, she enjoys camping & hiking with her husband, two boys and 3 dogs.  She recently became president of the Coconino High School Boys Basketball Booster Club.   The club raises money to help offset the expenses that the school is unable to provide. So between that and sidelining at  either or both of her boys basketball games, she stays pretty busy!  When she does have  time for herself, knitting is her other passion, which provides relaxation & therapy!

"Being creative is not a hobby; it is a way of life!" ~

GINA McGOWAN is the owner of AFICIONADO FRAMING.  She grew up in a small town outside of Chicago.  Ever since she was little she's been doing arts and crafts.  Drawing, painting, crocheting, needlework, cross stitch, Oragami,.. she always tried new forms of art. So imagine her luck when she landed her first framing job right out of high school! True artistic creativity finally paid off. She worked part time at various different frame shops until she graduated from Northern Arizona University with a business degree.  Shortly afterwards, she opened AFICIONADO FRAMING in November of 1995. Through all her years of framing, she has gained extensive knowledge and hands on experience in the framing industry. Her framing talents landed her a honorable mention in a national framing competition in 2003!

Gina also has the gift of "gab" and loves talking with her customers!
